This Skottsberg Carbon Steel wadjan has an industrial look, is energy-saving and stands for a lifetime of cooking pleasure when used correctly. The wadjan is super strong and is suitable for any heat source. This one made of carbon steel is nice and big (diameter of 34 centimetres!) and properly heavy, so it will never bend. Just make sure you use the pan in the right way and don't immediately turn on the highest heat setting. So that you avoid thermal shock. Do not put a hot pan under a cold tap either, otherwise it may warp. Thanks to the robust material, the pan is indestructible and will last a lifetime. Now that's durability. By indestructible, we of course mean indestructible when you treat the pan properly. You shouldn't throw it down from the balcony. But of course you get that.
Prepare the tastiest high-temperature wok dishes
Carbon steel heats up quickly and can withstand high heat. It is therefore ideal for stewing, frying and simmering fish and meat, but is also perfect for stir-frying. Whether you use induction or cook on gas. Or place the whole thing in the oven: why not? The handles on both sides make it easy to lift the pan.
You can re-season the pan yourself
The pan contains a natural non-stick coating, which we have already seasoned for you. So you can use it straight away. And the more often you use it, the better it gets. With no synthetic non-stick coating, you conjure up healthy dishes and the environment does a little lap dance. Over time, you can season the natural non-stick layer yourself with our own seasoning oil. This will make the pan as good as new again.
